Pau Gasol, serial killer in “CSI Miami”?

Pau GasolSpanish national basketball team player and LA Lakers star Pau Gasol might be guest starring in the crime series “CSI Miami“,  according to some Spanish media.

Even though it’s not yet confirmed, Gasol will most probably play the role of a serial killer. The player will shoot his role on three different locations at the city of Los Angeles to appear in what will be one of the first episodes of the ninth season of the series. (more…)

This number also includes those copies sold before the official sale, through Amazon.com where it has been in the top list for months.

Entire State of Texas Could be Powered by Solar

A recent study released by Public Citizen, a consumer advocacy organization, and several environmental organizations has concluded that solar technology alone could supply electricity for the whole state.

They cite a number of mind-blowing prospects from a variety of sources, all pointing to Texas as having the number one solar generating potential of the US states. (more…)

Florida to Build First Solar Powered City in U.S.

The first 100% solar powered city in the U.S. is in the works, and will be powered by the world’s largest photovoltaic plant.

The eco-city, called Babcock Ranch, is a joint venture between a real estate developer, Kitson & Partners, and Florida Power & Light, and will be located near Fort Myers, Florida. (more…)

Canstruction 2008

Canstruction is an international charity competition that opened last Thursday at the Winter Garden and Courtyard Gallery of the World Financial Center, featuring giant structures built entirely out of cans of food.

Top architectural and engineering firms in over 100 cities across North America participate in Canstruction, collecting millions of pounds of food for local food banks — the New York City show features local architectural and engineering talent.
