The Iberian (Spanish), Lynx lives in very small areas of central and southern Spain (Andalucia). It used to live throughout Spain and Portugal but its numbers have been drastically reduced to the point where it is now one of the most endangered wild cats in the world. (more…)
Today is the first day of the Chinese Lunar New Year which has the sign of the Ox. 2008 was the year of the Rat, while the 2010 will begin on Sunday, February 14, and it will have the sign of the Tiger.
Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year or the Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It begins according to the Chinese calendar which consists of both Gregorian and lunar-solar calendar systems.
