Đuveč (Djuvec, Gjuvech) is a traditional meal in Serbia, consisting of rice, often tomatoes and/or peppers and some meat, or, like in this case, fish. More about the djuvec here, and about the carp here.
This is a traditional east-European recipe. It’s an essential part of every Serbian holiday lunch and sometimes on a casual day. It’s mainly done with cabbage, although some also use wine leaves.
