After receiving a lot of critics saying this is not guacamole, I’ve decided to rename this article into Guacamole minimal style (comparing with other suggested recipes, it is minimal
).
I encourage anyone who knows a good guacamole (or any other) recipe to post it here at geaKitchen (just sign up/in and write
). Thanks everybody!
Ingredients (4 people):
- 2-3 large avocados
- 2-3 garlic cloves

Great suggestion, I knew not to eat avocado was so temperate. I note your tip.
Thank you for having commented on my post.
Same to you
Glad you like the suggestion!
EJ, where are you from? I hate to be critical or question your credentials (and my embarrassment if you’re from Mexico) but this is unlike any guacamole recipe I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a LOT.
Using lemon is VERY STRANGE, as is only adding garlic, and suggesting black pepper. I have never seen ANY of those done from any Mexican restaurant or recipe I’ve seen.
Here’s a typical recipe:
3-4 Avocados
1 sm Roma tomato
1/2 white onion
2-3 cloves garlic
1 jalapeno
1 lime
Cilantro
Sea salt
Chop the tomato, onion, and cilantro. Mince the garlic and jalapeno. Juice the lime. Add a touch of salt and toss these ingredients together. This is pico.
Hull the avocados and mash. Add the pico from above and stir.
Not from Mexico
No problem, I’ve heard of lots of guacamole recipes, but this is the only one I’ve ever tried. I was taught that’s guacamole, and is minimalistic variant of others. If you like, you are (as everybody else, of course) welcome to write recipes here at geaKitchen (Sign Up/In at the top right corner of the site).
Unfortunately I’m not a pro cook, but just an enthusiast and write while there’s nobody else. If somebody writes another guacamole recipe, I’d be glad to rename this one into something like EuroGuacamole or Guacamole a la Gea
Ps: thanks for the critique! I like good and useful critics!
