geaTV promo video

2 days ago I’ve made a video for the promotion of geaTV. It was made with only one image (few resources available at the moment), the screenshot of the geaTV page from that day (meanwhile, a new logo was designed for geaNostra, just to avoid confusion). This is the first video I’ve submitted to YouTube.

2 new logos designed

In the last few days I’ve designed two new logos, one for geaNostra and one for Belgrade Your Way. I wasn’t satisfied with the old ones and made these 2 web 2.0 style:

geaNostra is, regarding the logo design my toughest project, as I’ve tried dozens of concepts without ever being fully satisfied. The last one is probably the most famous, having the largest stay on the site:

Besides, the Belgrade Your Way portal and club were redesigned, and the info section is under reconstruction.

geaNostra is still expecting a community which will be followed with another home page adaptation. Meanwhile, geaTV and the Link Base were launched. GeaTV launch was accompanied with a video made also by me, but that’s material for the next post

geaCreative Blog redesigned, new slideshow created

Today I’ve finally redesigned the geaCreative Blog / Portfolio’s template, based on Wordpress’ default Kubrick theme. It wasn’t easy as I had to deal with a lot of unneeded code. I’ve separated visually (adding a border and slightly darker background color, and increasing the space in between) the sidebar (right column) from the main content column, changed the dull dark gray links color into orange and red, and the font into the cooler Century Gothic. The whole concept is for the site to look more fresh and easy on the eyes.The most important change is in the header. I’ve inserted the new logo of geaCreative, and below it the new (temporary) animated gif slide show, showing some photos made by me, and an example of image blending with 5 photos in one.

All of the photos were shot in high quality and resolution, and have been resized/cropped to fit. The grain/noise was generated while exporting as a gif (the only graphic image format that allows animation), and I left it like this because it gives kind of a hip retro look to the images.

In due time, this slide show will be replaced by one made in flash, for a higher quality and performance.

A new icon set for VS Klub

Here are a few new icons I’ve designed for and added to the club of Virtuelna Srbija:

(if you are using Internet Explorer 6 or older, it’s very probable that they all have a light blue background (it should be transparent).The first one is linked to the WAP2 version of the community, the second one to the RSS syndication channel, the third one to the Facebook group Virtuelna Srbija, the fourth to the GeaNostra profile at MySpace and the last one to Twitter.

The arrow shaped icon is a link for a tell-a friend/share/invite script.

These will most probably be used for the geaNostra community too, when it’s created.

A few e-cards

I’ve made a few e-cards for the past winter holidays and one suitable for St. Valentine’s day or any other “love” occasion. The I <3 U (I love you) card is also my first floral vector drawn over a hand-made sketch (which I’ll upload soon).

It’s my first instant illustration (made quickly), though soon I plan on making others for our news systems.
