We’d like to wish you a happy new 2010. year in all the languages of the world, but unfortunately, even Google Translate doesn’t have them all. So here’s just a few:
Szczęśliwego nowego roku!
glückliches neues Jahr!
Srećna Nova godina! ευτυχές το νέο έτος!
Happy New Year! С Новым годом! Feliz Año Nuevo!
Šťastný nový rok!
Gëzuar vitin e ri!
नया साल मुबारक हो
Boldog újévet!
Bonne année!
Gott Nytt År!
la mulţi ani! Buon anno! سنة جديدة سعيدة! 謹賀新年! 新年好! שנה טובה
…
Now, here’s where you come in. If a felicitation in your language isn’t up there or is wrong, please add it via comments.
To all of you who celebrate the Christmas tomorrow, I’d like to wish a joyful Christmas Eve and a merry Christmas! Whether you’re going to spend it at home or somewhere else, I wish you spend it happily and above all, in good health and surrendered by people you love.
I usually avoid trying thingies like this on facebook, thinking they’re a waste of time and not working, but for some reason I tried this one, and it works! It creates “magic circles” following your mouse pointer.
Press up arrow, up,down, down, left, right, left, right,b,a,enter key then right click. Then press up then down & magic circles will appear!
One small correction: I’ve got a comment for this on Digg and the guy says:
old. and that last “rightclick+up+down” is completely unnecessary.
Do you know other cool facebook tricks (that work)?
Whether it is or isn’t man’s best friend, the dog is certainly among the best and most faithful animals there are (competing with horses and dolphins ). Don’t know about you, but I’ve always preferred them to cats!
Below is a cute video showing a soldier returning from Afghanistan and the reaction of his canine friend. It’s almost as if the dog was crying of happiness, she almost went crazy! You’d probably never see a cat do something like that.
Here are some interesting facts about food and drink:
The coffee industry is the second in annual profit (after the oil industry) earning over 55 billion euros!
Boiled crabs become red due to a chemical reaction of a protein substance in their crust.
French city Dijon is considered the capital of the world gastronomy due to the fact that an international culinary fair takes place in this city every autumn.
Here’s a great video that shows how a drop of water actually behaves, shot at 2000 frames per second and displayed 67 times slower. When the drop hits the water surface, it’s not completely connected to it, because there is a thin layer of air between the two bodies of water, but as the air is pushed aside, an important part of the drop merges with the water surface, and the rest bounces. And this happens all the time until the drop is completely dissolved! Isn’t it amazing?
Well, this has been a tough but interesting year for geaNostra, with many child illnesses that we’ve fortunately left behind. Today on October 20. 2009. geaNostra celebrates it’s first birthday. We hope it will celebrate many more growing to be better, more interesting and more inspiring every year, and to get many more friends.
