geaNostra is now 1 year old. Happy birthday geaNostra!

Well, this has been a tough but interesting year for geaNostra, with many child illnesses that we’ve fortunately left behind. Today on October 20. 2009. geaNostra celebrates it’s first birthday. We hope it will celebrate many more growing to be better, more interesting and more inspiring every year, and to get many more friends.

We added some new features to the site these days, so it can celebrate it’s birthday  better prepared: being an international portal, it’s a shame it was accessible only in English, so now there is a translation box with several languages (not a perfect translation but can be helpful, powered by Google translate); we added wap accessibility so you can access the site’s content from your cell phone or PDA; the community box was added with Facebook, Google Friend Connect and MyBlogLog friends boxes. I’d like to invite you to join our communities at any of those sites.

Today is also the birthday of one member of our crew – Pufna, so I wish to congratulate her too through this post!

And just a curiosity for the “On this day” category: On this day in 1944. Belgrade was liberated by the Yugoslav Partisans in cooperation with the Soviet Red Army. This day is one of the city’s biggest festivities.
